Are you looking for a new challenge for 2018?
Are you looking to give back to your local community?
Are you looking to meet people & learn new skills?
Are you passionate about nature, green spaces and horticulture?
Then maybe you'd like to become a volunteer at Thrive, the UK's leading Social and Therapeutic Horticulture charity. At Thrive we use gardening as a form of therapy to improve the lives of people living with disabilities, physical and mental ill health.
In Battersea Park we maintain four gardens where we run our therapeutic sessions. We are looking to recruit volunteers to support our client gardeners in their sessions & to work on our sales kiosk, selling the plants that our client gardeners have grown.
If you are interested in finding out more then we are holding a Volunteer Taster Session on February 13th, for approximately 2 hours. The session will begin with a presentation about Thrive by our Centre Manager, followed by a garden tour where you'll get the opportunity to find out more about us & the work that we do.
