An afternoon/evening of winter wellbeing event inspired by Danish Hygge.
Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) is a Danish word that originates from the Norwegian word for wellbeing. It is used to describe a feeling or mood that comes with taking genuine pleasure from the everyday things.
This practice is especially beneficial in the darker and colder months and makes a good time to socialise by wrapping up warm and going for crisp walks and spending time with people drinking mugs of tea and hot chocolate.
The ’Be Hygge Together' event aims to bring us together and increase our awareness of what we can do to enhance our wellbeing and positivity during the dark British winter and help us embrace the season.
We invite individuals, friends, families and older people to come together to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness in the safe, welcoming meeting place of the Delius Arts & Cultural Centre.
Warm up with a hot drink and a slice of cake and take part in some of the activities and workshops that will be on offer.
This is a FREE event and all are welcome.
This event is part of the Postcode Local Trust funded 'Delius Community Garden Project'.
