Part of: Urban Growth Learning Gardens
Created by Orsetta Hosquet
Join us to create and enhance this oasis on the Thames. We have 7 polytunnels filled with diverse and eye catching plants and beds, with hundreds more outside.
There is a huge amount to learn and do for gardeners of any level in this beautiful site on the Thames. Weather need not be an issue as there is a massive indoor space, the polytunnel structure.
Starting at 12 we will be gardening on site, tending to our edible and ornamental sections.
Maintaining this tropical jungle involves a range of tasks, suitable for a wide range of participants, offering the chance to learn new skills and knowledge in:
Caring for edible plants from seed sowing, pricking out, planting out and harvesting, Caring for ornamental plants, Taking cuttings, lining raised beds and much more...
For groups over 5 people, please schedule your arrival and discuss your groups priorities and abilities with us in advance.
Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather and if it's hot consider wearing a hat and sunglasses and bringing suncream and a drink
We will supply all tools required, including gloves. Do bring your own if you prefer.
All welcome! Join us on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month (12 - 15)
