Beetroot and seed cake made from our own beetroot! A sell out at the Highbury Earth Festival.

Tour of Islington growing spaces

Saturday 25th June

From Heather Stabler - Community Gardening Officer at St Luke's

It would be great if some of you could join us for this showcase of some the many inspiring and thriving food growing projects in the borough. It will also be a chance to meet other people involved in similar work and exchange information, ideas, success stories and lessons learned. The tour will finish with a simple lunch at Freightliner's Farm when it would be great to chat to you more and find out what kind of support we can offer you longer term.

Please find an schedule for the day below (transport will be provided between each of the different sites).

It would be great to see some of you next Saturday. Please could you let me know as soon as possible and by Monday 20 June at the latest if you'd like to join us.

Great turn out at yesterday's garden party - and welcome to anyone who's visiting this site for the first time after meeting us yesterday. Do post any comments or questions here!

Garden Party this Sunday (12 June) 12.30 to 3pm. We'll be there from 12. Please come down and say hello and check out the work we've done over the last few weeks. And it's also a good opportunity to get sign up to help over the summer. Looking forward to seeing lots of people!

Hi Folks!

Great to see some new people have joined the group. We'd
really like to meet you all and everyone else in the group this Sunday at 12 O’clock at our Christchurch plot. We definitely need more people to make this plot really appealing, productive and a great advert for Transition Highbury. It
will be lots of fun and everyone who contributes can expect to take home
produce across the year.

Our raspberries from last year are starting to grow again. Very satisfying!

Must dig faster. Check out our brocolli growing healthy and strong by the railing - they've got a lifespan of 5 years so I take it we are sorted for now. Superfood anyone?
