HEY HEY HOORAY WE WON FUNDING & THE BEES ARE CELEBRATING TOO
Devonshire Road nature reserve has been succesful in getting Projects Dirt's Timberland funding towards the bee education project. The project aims to encourage schools to take part in beekeeping.
We are building a new apiary in our wildlife garden with an obeservation hut to see our bees.
We have hands-on beekeeping sessions for schools, parents & children to learn about the importance of bees. With the Timberland funding we are now able to get more bee suits for the children to give them a real hands on experience in bee keeping.
We are open:
- the 1st Sunday of the month (11am-1pm) when we are running a kids watch club session "Fox & Friends"
- the last Sunday of the month (2pm to 5pm)
- Drop in Gardening sessions on Fridays (9.30am - 1.30pm)
This project does not have any discussions yet.
