I'm starting projects in my local neighbourhood around energy and carbon reduction and sustainability.  So far I've hosted a draft-proofing day.  I've hosted 2 film screenings of the Yes Men Fix the World and The Age of Stupid and am now organising a cycle-powered cinema - along with sustainability zone at a local community festival. I'm currently running an Eco-Team http://ecoteams.org.uk/ - the team name is Green SW8.  Recently I've formed a planning group in my neighbourhood to look at growing more plants on the streets.

The project’s aim is to help transform my local community into a more sustainable area.

This will be achieved by:

• Facilitating change within people’s individual lives
• Initiating projects at a community wide level
• Education and awareness raising to motivate further action
• Encouraging people to take action at public and political levels
