The aim of the project is to produce two public art works with the local community to be displayed at Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre. The artworks will be produced during a one week pop-up community art space in a vacant shop and managed by two local artists.
The venue will also be used to showcase other design ideas for public artworks "on the Wood", from local community groups, schools and talented artists (including the resurrection of the much loved and maligned Bogey on the Stick!), with a view to sourcing funding and support to turn some of them into a reality.
Many thanks go to Ellandi LLP, Chelmsley Wood Town Centre and Project Dirt for supporting and funding this project.
Project Dirt has now become Semble.
