Local voluntary organisation The Conservation Volunteers will clear, prepare and replant an area of land at the cemetery. Fast growing shrubs will be planted to provide a barrier at the edge of the cemetery and enhance the area for wildlife. A variety of shrub species, selected for their value as cover, food source or habitat for a wide range of wildlife will be planted in this area. Special volunteer work mornings will be run in partnership with The Conservation Volunteers to encourage local people to get involved with caring for the environment and enjoying the cemetery as a green space.
